On January 7th SH or 6th NH (16° Capricorn), Venus meets the Sun, marking a powerful turning point as Venus transforms from Morning Star to Evening Star.

This conjunction is known as the Venus Star Point and It repeats every 8 years across five different signs, forming a beautiful star pattern in the sky.

Venus is the Goddess of love relationships, harmony, beauty and she rules the material plane of sensory feelings, sensuality, pleasure and more.

Venus was born from the waves, in a shell, she emerges beautiful from the sea.

She loved and lived through relationships with mortals and immortals, she was the mother of Enea, trojan hero and founder of Rome.

In western Culture she is the woman archetype that lives through everything, an unhappy marriage, impossible love, a child at war.

Venus and Mars:

What truly amazes me about this upcoming conjunction is its timing.  is happening just after a powerful Cancer Full Moon, which opposed this planetary configuration, emphasizing emotional release and at the same time, Mars is also in Capricorn, very close to Venus and the Sun, forming an exact conjunction with Venus on January 8th–9th of January.

This adds drive, courage, and activation to the Venusian themes.

This is a significant initiation for relationships, and more broadly for restoring balance between yin and yang. 

We are learning to let go of what no longer nourishes us (highlighted by the Cancer Full Moon) and to reconnect with our needs and our relationship with ourselves.
